Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak announced the winner of the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for North Dakota. Adelina Estrada, a student from Grand Forks Central High School, was recognized for her artwork titled "Meruem." The piece depicts a scene from Urban Stampede, a well-known coffee shop in Grand Forks.
“Adelina's beautiful work captures a unique piece of North Dakota, a scene from one of our iconic coffee shops where people gather to visit,” said Fedorchak. “She's a charming young woman with a bright future and I'm proud to have her work displayed here.”
Adelina traveled to Washington, D.C., where she received a tour and attended the 2025 Congressional Art Competition Reception. This event honors winners from all U.S. states and territories.
The Congressional Art Competition is an annual contest that allows high school students to display their artistic talents. Each congressional district selects one winner whose artwork will be displayed in the Capitol for the following year.
