CredibleMind, a free online platform focusing on mental health and wellness, is available to the community on the Fargo Cass Public Health website. The self-help format contains a variety of useful resources.

National HIV Testing Day is June 27. Fargo Cass Public Health offers free HIV testing and counseling with test results available in 15 minutes.

At the Fargo Public Library, “Under the Big Top,” a circus themed event with former circus ringmaster Aimee Klein, will be June 29 at the Carlson Library. Weekly Summer Storytime sessions are happening as part of the Summer Reading Challenge on Tuesdays and Wednesdays through July. Residents are encouraged to volunteer at the Carlson Library Learning Garden plots on Thursday mornings. The Fargo History Hunt features 12 historic buildings in Downtown Fargo and maps are available at all three library locations.

Fargo has been named to the Fortune 2023 list of 50 Best Places to Live for Families. This annual list recognizes the 50 best places to live in each state based on health care, education and resources for seniors. The listing says, in part: “Those who settle into everyday life in Fargo will be pleased to find a diverse job market with opportunities in health care, technology, education and agriculture and an unemployment rate well below the national average denoting a strong economy. Fargo’s affordability, combined with a high quality of life, makes it an attractive place to settle down.”

We recently recognized 164 Team Fargo members at the annual Employee Recognition Event. These employees had a combined 2,535 years of service to the City of Fargo, including Reference Librarian Steve Hubbard, who was recognized for 50 years of service. We are very thankful for all the hard work that Team Fargo puts in every day for our residents, businesses and visitors.
