 "My sister and I took a tour of VCSU campus, not thinking too much of it on that particular day. I spoke with the director of enrollment services who asked me if I could write an essay in a few days. I said sure, again not thinking much of it. Some time later, I got a text from an admissions counselor notifying me that I had received the McCready Scholarship and I immediately called my grandfather who happens to be a proud VCSU alum. He was ecstatic, to put it lightly. My grandparents have always been huge supporters for VCSU in various areas (academics, athletics, musical performances, etc.) and it means so incredibly much to me seeing them here and being a part of a school that I truly have fallen in love with." 

 Grace Mueller is planning to graduate in 2025 and although she is undecided at the moment, one goal remains the same. "I want to make a difference," Grace says. "I hope to be a positive impact and to make beneficial changes in others' lives, the same way the most influential people in my life have done for me."
