Pharmacy faculty member named ASHP fellow

North Dakota State University issued the following announcement.

Lisa Richter, director of experiential outreach and assessment and associate professor of practice in the NDSU School of Pharmacy, has been named a fellow of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

The ASHP fellow designation recognizes excellence in pharmacy practice in acute and ambulatory care settings. “Fellows of ASHP are recognized for excelling in pharmacy practice while distinguishing themselves through service and contributions to ASHP,” according to the group’s website.

Richter was among 20 fellows recognized during a ceremony at the ASHP Summer Meetings in Phoenix, Arizona.

To be eligible for the designation, fellows must:

• contribute to the total body of knowledge in pharmacy practice in acute and ambulatory care settings

• be involved and committed to educating practitioners and others

• demonstrate active involvement and leadership in ASHP

Designees must have at least 10 years of professional service to pharmacy practice in acute or ambulatory care settings.

Richter’s areas of expertise include residency training, adult acute and critical care, antimicrobial stewardship and professional development. She received her PharmD degree from NDSU in 2006 and completed residency at Nebraska Medicine/UNMC.

Richter is a Board Certified Critical Care Pharmacist and Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist.
