The North Dakota State University women’s track and field team completed competition at four different meets on April 4, with several athletes achieving personal bests and high rankings in program history.

The performances highlight the continued development of the Bison squad, as athletes set new marks in sprints, hurdles, relays, and middle-distance events. These results add to the team’s all-time records and showcase emerging talent among both underclassmen and upperclassmen.

At LSU’s Battle on the Bayou meet, sophomore Paige Renschler ran a personal-best time of 11.61 seconds in the 100-meter dash. This performance places her sixth all-time at North Dakota State. The relay team of Kendra Mehrkens, Renschler, Emelia Skistad, and Elise Wisnewski finished their 4×100-meter relay in 45.72 seconds—ranking ninth-fastest in school history.

Freshman Jordyn Davis made her collegiate debut in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.90 seconds, placing her tenth on NDSU’s all-time list; Sydney Arndt followed closely with a time of 14.00 seconds. In other sprint events at LSU, Reese Rogowski recorded a time of 54.89 seconds for the 400 meters—the eleventh-fastest ever by an NDSU athlete.

In field events, junior Arienne Birch cleared a height of five feet seven-and-a-quarter inches (1.71 meters) to place sixth overall in the high jump competition.

Middle-distance runners also achieved new milestones: Reagan Berg posted an outdoor personal best of two minutes eleven point twenty-two seconds (2:11.22) for the 800 meters at San Francisco’s Mike Fanelli Track Classic; Corene Moeller ran a new personal record of two minutes eleven point eighty-seven seconds (2:11.87) for that distance while competing at LSU.

The day’s results contribute to ongoing progress for North Dakota State’s women’s track and field program as it moves further into its spring schedule.
