The North Dakota State women’s track and field team completed its participation at the Big Red Classic hosted by Nebraska on Apr. 18.
The event featured strong performances from several Bison athletes, with junior Arienne Birch winning the high jump after clearing 5-10.75 (1.80 meters). This result places Birch among the top 25 high jumpers in the National Collegiate Athletic Association this season.
In other events, Grace VanErp secured third place in the triple jump with a mark of 40-02.75 (12.26 meters), while Ella Gardner finished fifth at 38-11 (11.86 meters). Sophomore Aizlynn Krafka took second place in the 100-meter hurdles, recording a wind-aided time of 14.47 seconds.
Adison Kapitzke achieved a throw of 48-4 (14.73 meters) in the shot put to finish thirteenth, and Elise Magaard placed ninth in discus with a mark of 140-7 (42.84 meters).
The results highlight individual achievements for North Dakota State athletes as they continue their outdoor season.
