The North Dakota State women’s and men’s track and field teams will take part in the Gary Wilson Invite hosted by the University of Minnesota on Apr. 22.

This meet is scheduled to be held at the University of Minnesota Track & Field Stadium in Minneapolis, with events running from 9 a.m. until about 8 p.m. The event brings together collegiate athletes for a full day of competition.

Six Bison athletes are currently ranked among the NCAA’s Top 50 in their respective events: Arienne Birch (high jump), Aaron Cummings (pole vault), Reece Grosserode (triple jump), Brady Goss (3000m steeplechase), Kaden Pastian (shot put), and Adison Kapitzke (hammer throw). Ethan Moe also enters this week ranked 67th nationally in both the 800-meter and 1500-meter races.

The team is using this meet as preparation for upcoming championships. The Summit League Outdoor Championships are set to be hosted by North Dakota State University in Fargo from May 14 to May 16.

The Bison will look to build on their performances as they approach these key championship dates.
