North Dakota State University announced on March 31 that both its baseball and softball teams have postponed their upcoming series against St. Thomas due to forecasted weather conditions in the region.

The decision affects games that were scheduled to take place April 2-4 at Newman Outdoor Field for baseball and Tharaldson Park for softball. The university said the move was made out of concern for player safety and field conditions.

According to the announcement, the softball team will look to reschedule its three-game series with St. Thomas later in the season at Tharaldson Park. Meanwhile, the baseball team has canceled two games from its original schedule but plans to add a fourth game when it visits St. Thomas for a three-game series set for May 14-16.

The changes come as unpredictable spring weather continues to impact outdoor sporting events across the region. No additional information about new dates or ticketing adjustments was provided in the statement.

Both teams will release further updates regarding their schedules as details are finalized.
