The North Dakota High School Activities Association released on May 11 the schedules, pairings, and results for the upcoming 2026 Class B Region Softball Tournaments. The information will be updated as received from regional tournament administrators and site managers.
The tournaments are organized by regions, with each region following its own schedule for play-in games, quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship rounds. In Region 1, early play-in games are set for Thursday, May 14 at higher-seeded teams’ venues. The main bracket continues at Olsen Softball Complex in Hillsboro on Saturday, May 16 through Tuesday, May 19. Winners of the championship game and state qualifier game will advance to the state tournament.
Region 2’s play-in games have dates and locations to be determined but quarterfinals are scheduled for Saturday, May 16 at higher seeds’ sites. Semifinals and finals will take place at Southbrook Park in Thompson on Monday and Tuesday of that week. Both the champion and a qualifier from this region will move forward to state competition.
Region 3’s schedule is yet to be announced. For Region 4, opening rounds begin Monday, May 18 in Wilton with a series of elimination matches followed by additional rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday to determine which teams qualify for state.
These tournaments determine which high school softball teams from across North Dakota advance to compete at the state level later this spring. Full brackets list matchups based on seeding results within each region.
