The North Dakota High School Activities Association announced on May 11 the schedules, pairings, and results for the 2026 Class A Region Softball Tournaments. The information will be updated as it is received from region tournament administrators and site managers.
The tournaments are divided into East and West regions, with games beginning in mid-May. In the East Region, quarterfinal matchups are set for Tuesday, May 19 at higher-seeded teams’ locations. Semifinals and loser-out games will take place on Friday, May 22 at Albrecht Field in Grand Forks. The championship game is scheduled for Saturday, May 23 at the same venue.
For the West Region, play-in games will occur on Monday or Tuesday (May 18 or May 19) at higher-seeded schools. Quarterfinals start Thursday, May 21 at Leininger Field located at Williston State College. Subsequent rounds—including semifinals and loser-out contests—are slated for Friday and Saturday (May 22-23), also at Leininger Field.
Both regions follow a bracket format with state qualifier games giving teams additional chances to advance following early losses. Exact team matchups remain to be determined based on seeding outcomes closer to tournament dates.
The NDHSAA has indicated that further updates will be provided as more information becomes available from local administrators overseeing each regional event.
