Congresswoman Julie Fedorchak, who represents North Dakota in the U.S. House of Representatives, recently posted a series of updates on her official Twitter account regarding community engagement, energy policy, and healthcare oversight.

On July 21, Fedorchak reminded constituents to participate in an upcoming event: “Reminder to RSVP for tonight’s Fedorchak Forum by 1:00pm CT! Sign up here to participate ↓ https://t.co/kTO2atF58R”.

Two days later, on July 23, she commented on national priorities following the president’s return to the White House: “With @POTUS back in the @WhiteHouse, America is—thankfully—focused on dominating the global AI space. But to be AI dominant, we must first be energy dominant. North Dakota stands ready to power the future! https://t.co/jLR2cNj1lK”. In this statement, Fedorchak emphasized North Dakota’s role as an energy producer and its potential contribution to technological advancements like artificial intelligence.

Later that same day, Fedorchak addressed concerns about government spending and program integrity: “.@CMSGov just uncovered 2.8 MILLION cases of duplicative Medicaid and ACA exchange enrollment—costing taxpayers an estimated $14 billion a year. This is exactly the kind of waste, fraud, and abuse we addressed through Medicaid reforms in the OBBB—restoring integrity to a”. The congresswoman referenced recent findings from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding overlapping enrollments between Medicaid and Affordable Care Act exchanges—a situation estimated to cost billions annually.

The issue of duplicate enrollment has been a recurring concern at both state and federal levels. CMS periodically reviews enrollment data to identify inefficiencies and improper payments within public health programs. Efforts such as those mentioned by Congresswoman Fedorchak are part of broader legislative attempts aimed at reducing wasteful spending and improving program oversight across agencies.

North Dakota has long positioned itself as a leader in energy production. State officials frequently highlight its capacity for supporting national initiatives related to technology infrastructure and energy security.
