In the fluid lab, we discussed how pressure, fluids, & geology interact to produce more barrels of Bakken oil while at the same time benefiting ND coal.” This post referenced ongoing discussions about balancing innovation and regulation in North Dakota’s energy sector.
Later that day, Fedorchak reported on a roundtable discussion involving representatives from various sectors of North Dakota’s energy industry. Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) is a set of techniques used to increase the amount of crude oil that can be extracted from an oil field.
Two days later, on August 15, 2025, Fedorchak turned her attention to technology policy at a regional summit. She posted: “Great discussion about AI with Red River Valley (not Silicon Valley!) innovators & business leaders at the Midwest Technology Summit.
